Historically, oral translation of the Qur’an occurred during the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) time. He sent ambassadors with translated Quranic messages to non-Arabs and hosted non-Arabs in Madinah with translators present. Companion Salman al-Farsi is said to have translated Surah al-Fatihah into Persian, and Prophet Muhammad instructed Zayd ibn Thabit to learn Syriac or Hebrew to understand the Torah and Gospel scholars. While written translations of the Qur’an were controversial among scholars for centuries, the stance evolved to not only permit but encourage translations to reach the 80% of Muslims who are non-Arabic speakers today.

The mosque was established in 1995 and continued serving the local musallis ever since. Recently the number of musallis has increased significantly and there is no space for them. We need to expand it so that thousands of musallis can pray jummah there and also the children can continue their maktab studies. Alhamdulillah they have the land, they just need our support to build the masjid. We need your urgent support to complete the construction of this Masjid.
